Masonry In Plain Language
Doug Price a Past Master, Grand Lodge of Kansas proposes 18 principles to explain in plain language what Masons believe in.
- Serve God as you understand him to be.
- Expect good things in life and live like you do.
- Be generous to people in need.
- Keep your promises.
- Be industrious and improve your mind.
- Remember that there is to come, and act with that in mind.
- Take care of your family.
- Be tolerant of the honest opinion of others.
- Keep yourself morally clean.
- Help Brother Masons.
- Learn the Ritual work and be active in Lodge.
- Protect your own physical health.
- Be strong in the face of adversity.
- Make decisions in a calm frame of mind.
- Always treat people fairly.
- Be proud to be a Mason, but modest in expressing it.
- Watch for good men seeking what Masonry offers, and assist them within the rule.
- Be happy and enjoy life.
